GL3D 2012 - Just three weeks to go!

There are just three weeks to go before the 2012 Great Lakeland 3Day!

Over the last 12 months Charlie Sproson (the race planner) and I have been working hard to ensure that the GL3D is going to be brilliant. We can't guarantee the weather but we can ensure that course offers that quintessential Cumbrian mountain experience.

Both the first and second days are long but we have designed the course with a sneaky shortcut for anyone who wants an easier day in the hills.

The event centre is within a few hundred metres of the iconic Lake District pub the Old Dungeon Ghyll in Langdale and we expect many competitors will be gathering there on the Friday night to eat, drink, share stories and discuss the following days route as the maps are issued at registration. Competitors will be able park at the Langdale event centre for the weekend and camp here on the Friday night.

If you have already entered then we look forward to seeing you at the beginning of May.... if you haven't, then please don't delay as we only have a limite supply of maps and once they are all allocated, the event will close for further entries.
