Here is a simple breakdown of our terms and conditions to explain your options if you have an entry, but can no longer attend.
First-timer’s guide to the Great Lakeland 3Day™
WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT? The SCARPA Great Lakeland 3Day™ takes place each year in the Lake District on the early May bank holiday weekend. It’s a 3-day mountain journey with two overnights (camping) and a variety of courses to choose from.

You arrive at the event venue on the Friday evening. First stop - registration. Once parked up, head over to registration in the main marquee to sign in and collect your timing chip (as pictured below), your dry bag sticker, your event map and any meal tokens or event merchandise purchased.
Guidance on dry bags
Participants must use a dry bag of maximum size 60L and maximum weight 13kg.
This maximum size and weight is time-tested to be more than adequate for SCARPA GL3D participants’ luggage needs over the years.
