We are teaming up with Trash Free Trails

We are proud to announce we have joined forces with Trash Free Trails through their sustainable event accreditation scheme, TFT Approved.

Designed for outdoor events like ours, TFT Approved is enabling us to improve the sustainability of our events by focusing on reducing the amount of single-use products at our events.

It’s important we protect our outdoor playgrounds, and we’re proud to be aiming for Silver Standard TFT Approved status for the SCARPA Great Lakeland 3Day.

While we are intending to go TFT Approved for all of our events including the Dragon’s Back Race®, Salomon Buttermere Skyline, Cape Wrath Ultra©, Salomon Skyline Scotland and SILVA Northern Traverse™, we are delighted to launch this partnership with the SCARPA Great Lakeland 3Day™ first!

Trash Free Trails will be coming along to the SCARPA Great Lakeland 3Day™ event, where they will have a stand at the Overnight Camp. They will be around to talk to our participants about how we can protect our trails and will be running a Trash Raffle – pick up some litter and have the chance to win a prize! They will also be doing a talk at the Hub, where they will be speaking about their mission and their findings.
