‘Event postponed to August’ - Covid-19 update

It’s not all bad news!

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that the 2021 SILVA Great Lakeland 3Day™ event – due to take place on 1st-3rd May – has been postponed to the Summer bank holiday weekend 28-30th August 2021.

After carefully digesting the UK government’s roadmap for easing restrictions, no matter how favourably we interpret the dates and the nature of the event, we are left in no doubt that we cannot organise the 2021 SILVA Great Lakeland 3Day in early May. 

It may be of little consolation, but by effectively being forced to shift the event dates (again), the reality of holding the event in August 2021 will also allow for a much more ‘normal’ event experience, so that you can really relax and fully enjoy everything that makes the SILVA Great Lakeland 3Day™ so special.

We know that we are asking some of you to look at changing the dates of your participation for a second (or even third) time. We share your frustration and sincerely value your patience and your support – thank you! 

We also recognise that the dates for the August event may not work for everyone; if this applies to you, we’d be delighted to offer you the option to defer your entry to the May 2022 event instead.

All participants with an active entry have been contacted about the next steps via email - Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. We are expecting a large amount of participant queries over the coming days and weeks so our apologies in advance for any delay in our response. We will get back to you as soon as possible. 

We really look forward to delivering the best possible SILVA Great Lakeland 3Day™ experience this August and we hope to see as many of you there as possible for a brilliant weekend of friends, running and camping in the beautiful Lake District.
