Now you have your event map it's time to find out where you will be going the following day. Will you choose the Cafe, Wainwright or Expert course? No need to decide until you set off running the following morning.

Checking out the map

After pitching your tent by the event venue, relax in the main marquee and soak up the pre-event atmosphere. Perhaps you have pre-ordered a tasty evening meal or a ticket to the film/speaker night? Or simply hang out with your fellow participants and look forward to the adventures to come over the next few days.

Day one of the SILVA Great Lakeland 3Day

It's nearly time to go! Pass your overnight drybag to our team of volunteers, (who later will take it to the first overnight campsite), and then head over to the start. Your running rucksack is packed full of kit and snacks, your map is in hand and you have chosen your course. Enjoy your first day of running!

Heading to the startline

Journey along some great trails, tick-off some mountain tops and visit some beautiful Lakeland tarns. Those on the Cafe course may stop for a drink in a lovely local cafe, while the Wainwright course bags a few extra summits and the Expert course covers up to ~40km!

Well done! You have completed day one of the SILVA Great Lakeland 3Day. Collect your results, grab your drybag and find a spot to pitch your tent. It's time to enjoy some chill out time in camp.

Later on in the evening, join us in the main marquee for our famous quiz. Answer questions on the Lake District for a chance to win prizes from our main sponsor - SILVA.
